About Dr Joseph Stevens

Dr Stevens is an Australian trained, skilled orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in the management of conditions of the hip, knee and trauma.

After completing orthopaedic surgical training in Queensland and New South Wales, Dr Stevens undertook further subspecialty fellowship training in the surgical and non-surgical management of hip and knee osteoarthritis, knee ligament injuries and orthopaedic tumours.  He also undertook fellowship training in the surgical management of pelvic fractures, which he manages at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Dr Stevens has a keen interest in ensuring his patients have the best possible outcome, whether they are managed with surgery or other therapies. To this end, Dr Stevens implements the latest technology available, including the use of computer navigated and robotically-assisted joint replacement surgery. Dr Stevens has a policy of tailoring his treatment plan specifically for the individual patient, resulting in the highest possible degree of patient satisfaction.

When not treating patients, Dr Stevens is a family man, enjoying time with them at home and outdoors.
